About the Seminar |
This 2 day intensive hands-on workshop will teach you how to use and set up the award winning open source (free) OsiriX medical image viewing software. You will get a thorough understanding of all the features and have plenty of opportunities to practice these with the assistance of our instructors.
Our seminars are limited with regard to the attendance and are very interactive with plenty of opportunity to practice what you learned.
As part of the seminar, you also will get the opportunity to interact directly with the OsiriX development team, as they will be available remotely for questions and also as part of the seminar will provide an update on the latest upcoming features and functions.
|
Detailed Learning Objectives |
Participants will be able to use the OsiriX viewing software in their clinical practice and/or from their home or office for remote clinical reading. The skills learned do include basic viewing and also advanced features such as MPR, 3-D and fusion.
Participants will also learn to configure and set up the connection to either an open source PACS Archive, or commercial PACS system to retrieve images and share these with colleagues. How to put a simple "free PACS" system together using open source components is part of the class.
|
Recommended Pre-requisite |
Participants might consider taking this seminar in combination with the PACS Fundamentals class, which precedes this course on the prior day. This combination will provide a more in-depth background and knowledge about the various PACS system components and how to effectively specify, set-up, and support these complex healthcare technology systems.
