This is an intensive on-line, instructor lead, DICOM training which covers the current DICOM standard and covers all the requirements to get DICOM certified (see link). It is delivered using a virtual classroom (GoToMeeting) thereby allowing interaction with the students. It is delivered in a 4 times 4 hour webcast, split up in one hour units. It is targeted towards software developers, PACS administrators, interface analysts, and system integrators. You might have some limited knowledge of DICOM, but this certification class rounds you off to become knowledgeable about its details, including the latest enhancements and changes. All exam and member fees to allow the student to take the certification exam are included in the cost of the seminar.
You will get a detailed understanding of the DICOM standard. The data formats including its encoding (VR's) are covered, its protocol (both for Association management and DICOM commands) is explained. Structured reporting such as used for Ultrasound measurements, key images and dose reporting and all of the new services including Storage Commitment, MPPS, and IA is discussed. Additional important DICOM features including image quality, new enhanced SOP Classes, DICOMWeb and troubleshooting will be covered as well. DICOM conformance statements will be used as examples during the seminar.
Certification towards a Certified DICOM Integration Professional can be done on-line within six months after taking this course by taking the on-line CDIP exam of the PARCA certification organization), see www.pacsadmin.org for more details. OTech will pay 100% of the initial CDIP exam fee.

If you cannot reschedule, there will be a cancellation fee of $250. If you have opened and/or activated products that were received prior to the seminar, you will be charged for those products as well.
