This high paced web-based seminar teaches the essential components of the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) specification, in particular the radiology imaging profiles such as scheduled workflow. IOCM and others, and related ITI (IT infrastructure) profiles dealing with image and information management such as PAM, PIX/PDQ and XDS.
This seminar is intended for professionals who support, manage and develop medical imaging devices such as PACS and departmental information systems, enterprise archiving systems and systems that are image enabled such as Electronic Health Records. This can be PACS administrators, biomedical engineers, service engineers and IT personnel including interface analysts. This seminar is also useful for anyone who wants to learn about this standard as they are looking for a career in healthcare imaging and informatics such as software developers, integration and interface specialists.
Students will understand the IHE specifications, i.e. the protocol details such as the profiles, its corresponding actors and transactions and will be able to read these specifications and interpret them.
IMPORTANT:The IHE profiles discussed in this course are based on DICOM and HL7 transactions. In order to optimally benefit from this course, a working knowledge of these standards is highly recommended. If lacking, it is strongly suggested to take the Core HL7 and Core DICOM training prior to this class. Another option is to take the OTech on-line or face-to-face training which will provide an even more in depth coverage of DICOM and HL7.
This is a synchronous delivered, instructor lead, live web session. This seminar will cover a lot of materials using a high pace. The seminar has 4 sections/modules of one hour each, each module includes several exercises and a Q and A session.
It is strongly recommended to dial-in to the virtual classroom 15 minutes prior to the class to resolve any technical issues with audio, internet, etc.
