What is the OTech Enterprise Server (OES-training version)?
The OTech Enterprise Server (OES) - Training Version is a mini computer with a very small form factor (5" by 7" by 2"), which contains a complete library of all our CD based training classes from our catalog (https:/www.otechimg.com/otechU-cat.cfm). The server serves both as a source for the individual classes, i.e. they can be downloaded on a PC for viewing, and also serves as a license manager, managing the number of concurrent users. The OES will typically reside as a node on a company or institution Intra-net but also can be accessed remotely.
What are the benefits?
This is an excellent solution if multiple employees need to access the various training courses simultaneously. Access is provided on-line without having to distribute multiple CD's for each individual employee. Together with the computer, a dongle is provided which provides access to the particular training course and tracks the number of simultaneous licenses or seats. If one would decide to add addition courses and/or seats, it is simply a matter of purchasing a new dongle.
How does it work?
The OES has a web server that contains the available OTech training courses. You may reach this server at the IP address or computer name you assigned. Each program contains a detailed description and installation instructions on the website. Each training program is downloaded from the OES and installed on your workstation, PC or training computer.
Once installed, the training programs will search the network for the OES to obtain a license key. Each OES has a security dongle that determines how many copies of each training program can be run simultaneously. Once the maximum number is simultaneous users is reached, you will not be able to launch additional copies until some students exit the training. When they exit the training, they free their network seats for other users.
What is the warranty?
1. The warranty for the OES is six (6) months from the date of receipt. During the warranty period, OTech, Inc. will repair or replace the product covered under this limited warranty.
2. Service and Support: OTech, Inc. provides the technical support for installation problems with your system for 60 days after receipt. The technical support service is limited to installation and configuration issues only. The technical support service does not offer software tutoring or training.
