Lesson 1: Sample Medical Images & Characteristics
After this lesson you will:
- Recognize the most common image types and know which modality generated them.
- Understand the definition and impact of the parameters which are used to characterize images such as resolution, image matrix and study/file size.
Lesson 2: Medical Digital Images based on X-ray Radiation
After this lesson you will:
- Understand and recognize the characteristics of each X-ray modality: CR/DR, RF, XA, MG, CT.
- Recognize typical images generated by these modalities.
- Know the typical image and study characteristics for X-ray modalities.
Lesson 3: Medical Digital Images based on Non-X-ray Modalities
After this lesson you will:
- Understand and recognize the characteristics of each non X-ray modality: US, MR, NM, PET and PET/CT.
- Recognize typical images generated by these modalities.
- Know the typical image and study characteristics for X-ray modalities.
Lesson 4: Non-radiology Specialties
After this lesson you will:
- Understand and recognize the characteristics of the modalities used by non-radiology specialties:
