Study groups typically consist of 3-6 students who work together through the subject matter for a period of 6-10 weeks, using a study guide, and assisted by an experienced mentor. After finishing this exercise, the student will be better prepared to take any of the certification exams (PARCA, CIIP, etc.). This is a good tool for students who just finished course work, have done extensive self study, and/or have extensive experience in the subject matter and need a refresher. This study method is also beneficial for those who rely on peer pressure to complete their study assignments. It is not recommended for students who are novices as they may quickly get lost or fall behind.
