Test Scenario  

Test sending image files with a different called AE Title.

Steps

1.  Retain the configuration details created for Sample Session 1.

2. Start the Storage SCP service, if it is not already running.

3. Click on CONFIGURE NODES button and click on the ADD button to bring up the DICOM Node Details dialog box to create a node.

 In the General page, enter the following values:

For this sample session click on the Check All check box. Checking the Check All check box ensures that the Storage SCU supports all three types of transfer syntaxes (LITTLE_ENDIAN_EXPLICIT_VR, LITTLE_ENDIAN_IMPLICIT_VR, BIG_ENDIAN_IMPLICIT_VR). Select the node created and click on the OK button.

4. The testscp value will appear in the Called AE Title combo box in the main window.

5. Retain the Calling AE Title as storescu.

6. Click on the CHOOSE FILES button to bring up the File dialog box. Choose the files to be sent.

7. Click on the SEND button to make a storage request.

 Result

The storage of the image file fails, because the Storage SCP is unable to recognize the Called AE Title. The error message is displayed in the log window.
